Compassion Through Color

When I first started Urban Isla, my dream was always to give back—to use color and creativity as a way to support the people who need it most. Over the past 3.5 years, I’ve been able to quietly do that a few times. But the devastating floods that swept through Texas this summer became my official turning point.

Compassion Through Color (CTC) is a new initiative I’m launching to honor that original dream. Moving forward, I’ll be creating specific pieces tied to community needs, natural disasters, or meaningful causes—and 100% of profits from those pieces will be donated to aligned charities.

Today, I’m honored to share the first two CTC pieces with you:

This elegant highboy dresser features a powerful white horse painted against a midnight backdrop—symbolizing the quiet strength of lives lost and remembered. All proceeds from the sale of “Memory” will go toward funeral assistance efforts via the Kerr County Relief Fund, supporting families who’ve lost loved ones in the Texas floods.

This dreamy waterfall vanity is hand-painted in soft pastels with coastal waves and a warm Texas sunset. She represents the delicate road ahead—the healing process. 100% of the proceeds from this piece will be donated to Bo’s Place, a Houston-based nonprofit offering grief counseling and support services to children and families.

Each brushstroke in these pieces holds purpose. And while my art can’t undo the pain these families are facing, it’s my way of showing up with compassion… through color.

Thank you for being part of this mission. And stay tuned—there’s one more piece in this first CTC collection that I can’t wait to share. It’s all about resilience.
